Smooth Transition to WP 2.7.1

By Nile Flores 5 Comments

I was just talking with another on Twitter about WordPress and I had my dashboard open. I noticed at the top that there was an upgrade available for WordPress 2.7.1. I was able to automatically upgrade to 2.7.1 on a click! I was really happy about this as I have been wanting a version of WordPress to do this thing just like you can automatically install plug-ins.

So far, the upgrade is going great. It is awesome that it is the first time I did not have to go into my Cpanel and upgrade via Fantastico.

The update changes from 2.7 to 2.7.1 also include 68 fixes. I encourage you to drop by and check them out. You may have been fighting with issues that were covered. If not, submit a ticket there.

LOL, I don’t know if yours will do it, but even after an upgrade via WordPress itself, my Fantastico will bug me about needing to be upgraded – in fact, mine sends me emails every day until I upgrade through Fantastico.

I will probably get it, but most of the time I know when WP is updated before the company I lease with even gets a chance to do the Cpanel Fantastico update.

I am sure there may be. Perhaps humor your Fantastico and do its automatic upgrade. Just an idea.

It is also easy to backup and transfer all your websites from one server to another server if you have cPanel installed~-*
