WordPress Video: A Walk Through WordPress 3.3

By Nile Flores 13 Comments

WordPress 3.3 has been released and it comes with quite a few updates. Some of the major ones that are noticeable are the navigation structure, administration bar at the top, a welcome page with a tour of the backend, additional permalink structure option, and the media upload area.

I have put together a a video screencast on WordPress 3.3 “Sonny” to allow you to become a little more familiar with your WordPress install, OR if you have not used WordPress yet, hopefully this will entice you to begin your own WordPress powered site.

    Hi Nile,

thank you for the tour of the new WordPress.

It is good to see how it all works.

The drag and drop seems like a great option. The image options are obviously giving more things you can do with photos now.

I love WordPress it is like a playground to me. It has so many things you can do with it.
Thanks for showing how the new version works

You should always keep your site up to date. It looks like it is working fine right now.

Nice work Nile you’re so on the ball.

As you say Sonny has given us quite a few new features.
I’m loving the new media upload so quick and easy with the drag and drop feature!

The multi user admin alert is great addition too.

Have a great week and happy holidays!

    Hi Niles,

Just a quick question on this one, when is the best time to upgrade to the latest WP? I was thinking that most of the plugins will not work since most of them are not updated yet

    Thanks for this Niles,

I have not updated any of my sites yet, my developer is running some tests in the evenings. Having had sites hacked in the past I know how important updating is! At the moment a custom made twitter widget is throwing up some errors with the new update, so trying to get that sorted.

Great video, I’m looking forward to getting stuck into 3.3.

Issues with disabling pluggings has always deterred me from running WP update on my sites. Thanks for the video, I’ll give the procedure a try.
