Using Fiverr For Sponsored Tweets

By Nile Flores 11 Comments

Fiverr has been a good place for people seeking to pay little for a service or goods. It works well for those willing to do those jobs for little money. One of the worthwhile jobs is using Fiverr for monetizing your Twitter social network stream. In other words – create your own version of Sponsored Tweets.

You can name what you will tweet about and how often. Of course, keep in mind how much you believe your Twitter stream is worth and that you are not going to spam the heck out of them. Putting guidelines down on what type of tweets will allow buyers at Fiverr to know if their content will be of any interest to them. That is what they are looking for – people to click on their link and perhaps purchase their produce.

So be honest when putting yourself out on Fiverr because you could get repeat buyers and with each feedback left, it will look good for your reputation.

Please note that if you do live in the United States, you are still required to disclose endorsements. This is even if the buyer’s country is not within the United States. Using the hashmarks #ad or #spon will suffice. Also, “sponsored by” is fine.

Have you tried Fiverr? How have you used it (as a buyer or a service provider)?

Seems like an interesting concept, but I personally care for my followers on twitter and they might think this as trying to monetize them.

Great post! I agree, there are great ways to use Fiverr and other sites like justafive.com to monetize Twitter or Facebook or other social network sites. In fact, there are lots of people making an extra $50 to $100 a day just doing microjobs. Thanks for spreading the word about the new $5 micro-economy!

I'd like to see them also offering services for a different amount, like 9,95$ etc and not only limit to 5$. Not sure if thats possible already to setup at fiverr.

Adam commented and said that justafive.com allows for other rates. I agree with you. Some of the services just are not logical to be offered at just $5.

I have not tried Fiverr as this was the first time I have heard of it. However, it does sound like an interesting alternative to Sponsored Tweets and Be a Magpie (both services I have used) because it appears that I can specify what I want to tweet about before I get offers. That would be nice as with ST and Magpie both, I have to log in to find out what tweets are there and if I want to tweet them or not.

Not really, if you tweet out anything any everything, that would be the case. However, if you can honestly say you have interest and know from engaging in conversation with your own followers that they may be interested, an occasional sponsored tweet is often overlooked. It is when it is constantly done that you know they do not care for their followers at all.

I am the owner of 7freelance.com similar to fiverr but we monitor the quality of posters. We were thinking about allowing message Broadcaster to post job at http://www.7freelance.com
So, we tried out the service to see if it works, but not a single click in the past 24 hrs from him.
This does look like a scam. First of all he says he tweets to 120k followers 5 times a day for 4 weeks. He has multiple accounts with about 5k followers, according to his site a total of 40k. He is definitely lying. Its a shame that he has such a high rating. Reason being, if your give him a good rating, he will tweet for an extra week. Looks like he is an ultimate scam artist. Hope Fiver will take action on him. Thanks for the heads up, you really confirmed my judgement.
About 7freelance.com if you wish to cover it, we dont take any commission off, so a freelancer actually gets paid the full $7, nearly twice as much. Be warned however, if you are a scammer, you will be deleted in a heartbeat. (also you cannot bribe people to leave a positive feedback for you)

Nile, great job and keep up the good work.

He did reply to say from his own Twitter account full_view_media tweeted the post out, but none of the other statuses cooresponded with the tweet. I went ahead and took a look at full_view_media on Twitter and they have 11K in followers and virtually no engagement… totally spam. So, I did what any logical Tweeter would do, I went ahead and clicked the Report for Spam.

Note; please use your name, and not a keyword… and use one URL. When you do that, it picks up as spam in WordPress. Would not want Askimet to pick you up in the near future, so you have to be careful. You could try joining Intense Debate ( http://intensedebate.com …they are owned by Automattic, the same parent company over WordPress) and register your sites so when you leave a comment on a WordPress site that has Intense Debate installed, you only have to be logged in. When a person hovers over your profile avatar, your site list will appear.

Ps. I will be sending the link to this blog, to be tweeted by message broadcaster. Let me know if you get any clicks.

Ps. sorry I dont mean to spam your comments, but I forgot to mention this in my previous comment.
