Presentation: Rocking Out Your Site With WordPress

By Nile Flores 10 Comments

I originally spoke at on my presentation Rocking Out Your Site With WordPress at WordCamp Chicago in 2010. I realized that just hosting my power point on Slideshare is not enough, so I decided to podcast it.

You can follow the slideshow while listening to the podcast.

Really lovely blog. Showcases why you show in your presentation. So many blogs have either the design taken care off or the content. It is rare that both issues are correctly handled and sometimes none of them are even present!

I’m rather surprised by the rather sub-par offerings by Blogger in regards to site design. There only seem to be two dozen templates, which means anyone with an identity is going to go elsewhere. It’s useless when you want individuality, and WordPress, as described here, seems to be one of the few ways to go.
