Podcast Presentation: WordPress for Business

By Nile Flores 9 Comments

I originally presented WordPress for Business at the March 2012 Southern Illinois Social Media Club meeting. I am honor to have been invited to present.

The issue with WordPress for Business is that a lot of business owners are either confused, or have the concept of social networking and having a website backwards. I hope that I cover some basics for Businesses in understanding what WordPress can do for them, and some tips to help them on their way.

    Hi Nile,

I totally loved your podcast! I appreciated your history as a blogger….girl you’ve been around for a long time! You were thinking comments before Facebook! I love WordPress and you shared so many interesting facts about word press, blogging and business. I learned a lot!

You presented great tips and recommendations which I will definitely implement. I like your “down to earth” style. It’s so important to treat your blog as your business and letting people know that you care.

I’ve used podcasting for learning about caring for my puppy when they first came out. Of course now there are thousands of podcasts on any subject including marketing. I like the way you included blondish.com as a resource. I also like the slideshare platform. It’s like a mini-webinar. Thanks for a great overview.

It’s great for creating business sites, I have been involved in creating business sites for years and I wish I had found it earlier. Does everything I need and more, wouldn’t use anything else now. I agree that it can be hard to convince some business people of the benefits and break through the confusion but your presentation is good.

Thanks Nile for the information about WordPress. I have some knowledge on WordPress and have posted blogs using it, but I am not that well versed as you and using the information you shared can really be very useful and helpful for my business. Thanks again.

WordPress is becoming day by day more popular amongst webdesigners, webmasters, marketers, digital marketing agencies and SEO professionals. One of the main reasons is the capability of adding great features just uploading good plugins. And generally it has an overall much better SERP position.
