Celebrate 10 Years with WordPress

By Nile Flores 6 Comments

On May 27, 2013, WordPress users all over the world get to have a day to celebrate 10 years with WordPress. Yes, 10 years!!! It is not always easy getting people to step behind software and remain loyal to it even after 10 years. That could be due to other similar products or no longer needing such programs.

wordpress-10year-anniversaryWordPress has come a long way.

Many people have been scheduling parties to commemorate the event. However, WordPress has created a hashtag online for the 10 year anniversary for anyone wanting to take part of the festivities on Twitter.

If you cannot celebrate at a party, but have Twitter, just use the hashtag #wp10.

Matt Mullenweg wrote in Ten Good Years at WordPress.org there is a on a book about the history of WordPress in the making that will contain stories from WordPress users. I wrote an abridged version of my 10 year walk down the WordPress memory lane.

How long have you used WordPress? Have you done any celebrating in honor of WordPress being about 10 years?
