I am really starting to get the hang of using Blog Talk Radio. Being my 4th show, I wanted to cover somewhat of an intro to monetizing your blog. What I cover in this segment are things I am asked from clients and newbies in blogging about trying to make a little money. I also put out a few suggestions to check out.
Because I was concerned with making an occasional “um”, I consulted someone I knew in the news industry and an expert in communications. For those concerned about saying “um”, I learned that it is a natural way of speaking to denote thinking. It is not dumb to do it as everyone does it with speaking.
So… I did not feel bad when saying “um”. My show is not to be considered a formal type show. I hope to encourage some of you to ask me questions.
This particular show is called Monetizing Your Blog. If you like my Blondish.net Blog Talk Radio show and have a username there, please considering following me and sending me your questions or even possible prompts for future shows to cover.

I listen to a lot of podcasts. The best ones are the ones where the hosts speak naturally. They're full of oh's and um's and sometimes go a little off topic because the hosts are so friendly and talkative. But all of that extra personality is what makes the show entertaining. I like those much more than the podcasts that are just scripted.

Hi. I listened but couldn't understand what you said about demands of Google Ad Sense. I signed up with one of my blogs but didn't see anything prohibitive. I like the Blog Talk Radio – it's easy to listen and well done – but there seems to be no way to go backwards to listen if you miss something. Your segment was just long enough and well done. Good info within and I think maybe a little more info about the type ads – not assuming people know what each type is – would be good. Also I think 'ums' are fine! but also a little bit of a script so you have everything ready is necessary to keep things flowing. This was at the very end – Why did you tell people to look at the hooch site? I went there and wasn't sure why. Thanks!

Google Adsense’s policy is that you can only have 3 instances of their code on a page (3 banners, or a mixed of text links and banners.) Still pretty new to Blog Talk radio. It is done through the phone and I am much better at writing or speaking in person, rather than phone…lol.
Hooch did my audio intro for my website and it is only courteous that I give him a plug sometimes since he was nice to put together something for me. I have yet to figure out how to put my own audio files together, but he is already a professional in the radio business and was gracious enough to put together something for me. Thank you for listening to my show.

I will be redoing my podcasts and actually hosting them directly on my site as I want to break away from Blog Talk Radio and podcast myself. I have been learning more techniques from my colleagues and have the tools to do so. Podcasts are awesome and I definitely think it adds that extra dynamic to anyone’s website.
