#WordPressWednesday 2014 Volume 2

By Nile Flores 13 Comments

wordpresswednesday-event-thumbnail#WordPressWednesday is here again. Oh my goodness… this past week has the community fired up about hosting, especially managed WordPress hosting. Well, seems that is life when it comes to web hosting anywhere. Other than that, I’ve found some cool tutorials that some of you may like. Others… it might go over your head. Sorry!

Please make sure if you jump in to comment on any ongoing kerfuffles in the community, that you read everything. I know firsthand how it is on getting all worked up and ready to go in with guns blazing, but it could end up upsetting people. I don’t share issues in the community to provoke conflict, but to share awareness of what is going on.

That being said, below are some of the articles I picked up from around the community. Enjoy!

There are some great articles here Nile and I recommend everyone pay particular attention to the WordPress speed and security posts.

I read the Tuts post and then explored other WP tutorials on there (yet again). Half an hour later I am back to finish this comment:-)

Interested in the article on WPEngine – since that’s our host – haven’t experienced the problems Matthew is having – but we’re a much smaller site – But have heard similar complaints from developers in our area – something to watch – maybe we’ll have to move our site yet again.
