It’s Wednesday again and that means it is time for #WordPressWednesday. I have gone around the WordPress and blogging community to bring recently published WordPress related articles.
Please note that I try my best to look for different resources each week to share, so if you know of a quality site that publishes WordPress related articles, let me know.
#WordPressWednesday 2013 Volume 2
Austin Gunter interviews Mark Jaquith on WPEngine in his article – Finely Tuned Consultant – Mark Jaquith. Mark is well known in the WordPress Community as he is a lead WordPress Core developer.
Adam Connell writes at WPKube about 5 Powerful WordPress Plugins to Help Prevent Content Theft. In this article, the best advice is the RSS feed insertion option with the plugin WordPress SEO by Yoast. Putting a simple notice or license to the article does not always deter, but because there are a lot of small niche sites that use autoblogging programs, you can at least put within your site’s feed a notice about where the content is coming from.
John James Jacoby writes at bbPress a Year in Review about how much bbPress has developed throughout 2012. Oh, and he also covers a 2012 overview at BuddyPress, also named – Year In Review.
Devesh Sharma writes at WPExplorer about 3 Essential List Building Plugins for WordPress. Truthfully, the list is a bit short considering there are more list building plugins available for WordPress users. The one that I saw that was a great add to this list was Pippity.
Leanne King shows us how to Compress Images for Faster Loading. Now, if you are not that tech savvy, as an alternative to her article, you can install the WPSmush.it plugin to do the job for you.
WPBeginner shares on How to Build a Library Collection and Circulation System in WordPress using the WebLibrarian plugin.
Siobhan McKeown writes at Smashing Magazine on How To Become A Top WordPress Professional. The article suggests that rather being an expert to be a top WordPress professional, you have the passion to use WordPress.
Jack Hammet shares 11 Free WordPress Plugins to Improve Your Site for 2013 at WPLift. This list has a lot of unique plugin suggestions.
Remkus de Vries tells us about The Post Formats UI Feature Coming to WordPress 3.6 over at WPRealm.
James Dunn talks about using RebelMouse on WordPress at WPMU.org in his article Create One Page On Your Website With All Your Social Media Streams.
I know I have a few new sites and some ones shared, but I like to mix it up some. Hope you enjoyed this #WordPressWednesday edition and see you next Wednesday!

Nile,
I appreciate this information so much. I clicked on “5 Powerful Wordpres Plugins to help prevent content Theft.”
It’s awful, but with all the hard work we do on our blogs, we need to be vigilant to these “scrapers.”
Thanks for the tips,
Donna
