The following is a simple video screenscast for new users to become familiar with creating a new post in WordPress. Hopefully this tutorial is helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
This is for WordPress users who are really new and are not sure how to use WordPress yet. One of the highlights is that I go through a lot of the different icons for the visual editor so newbies know. It is easy to learn by poking around and trying each, but I think adding this helps for those not as computer savvy.

Thanks Ileane! Hopefully as I make more, I can get done with basics and get to more difficult tutorials. However, this has been a plan that has been long in the making and finally I have started tackling it.

WordPress is easy for those who are used to it, but can be tricky for those just starting out. These video tutorials would have been a GREAT resource for me when I first started. I hope many people take advantage of this!

Nile,
Lovin It! You covered absolutely everything that a new person needs to know to create an effective WordPress blog post. Glad you covered fullscreen mode AND “WordPress Paste” Button or whatever it’s called. Those are two features that a lot of blog writers just don’t know about, as simple as they are! You did a nice explaination of the toolbars, save as draft, publish, tags and categories.
I loved the fact that the audio and, ESPECIALLY, the video was so crystal clear! I assume you used Camtasia. May I ask what resolution on Camtasia that you used to shoot and then to convert / produce the video.
I’m not sure my videos are as clear as this one. Except on my last one I played around with resolution a bit and I think I got it clearer.
Once again, great job and thanks for sharing!
Take Care,
Jupiter Jim

I will share this with my friends, as this video is a great tutorial. Even myself I found several tips which I didn’t know after working with WP for years.

Nile,
Once again you save the day. Hey, I never used the word doc feature to paste & copy was my way. I wondered why I had to manually adjust my content. Some funky stuff was going on and you came with this tutorial and saved me hours of future adjustments. Never mind when I have pictures included in my original article in word on my system.
Nile, your truly one of our great coaches and this just supports my feeling of comfort with your instructions. You keep it simple and we all can understand no matter what level we may be.
Thank you Nile for caring and sharing. I appreciate your friendship and value your knowledge.
