I originally presented WordPress Design and Development With The Client In Mind at WordCamp Philadelphia 2012. I wanted to touch on the fact that as a designer and developer in the WordPress community that we should be more active about making sure our clients are comfortable using their websites.
The biggest thing that makes a client change their website despite how nice it looks is usability. Covering your bases and asking your client the right questions helps reduce time and let you know how familiar they are with WordPress. wordpress is helpful for SEO. But you are right we have to satisfy our clients.

Hi Nile! I like your slideshow presentation and how you narrowed down the most important things that can matter most to what client’s may want with their WordPress sites. Not all clients are well versed in WordPress and may need specialist to help them design and develop their sites (convert technical terms to a layman’s terms)-but among all other factors-functionality is the best. As a client i would want my visitors to easily navigate their way around the site. Do keep up making slides like this, it helps a lot of aspiring entrepreneurs!:)
