I’m really honored to have been nominated again for the Small Business Influencer Awards. It may be “just a contest” to some, but for those who took the effort to nominate me, that means a lot. This year has been a bit different as when the voting started out and I emailed my newsletter list, the turnout was amazing. I made Honorable Mention last year and hope to at least retain that, if not better.
This year, I’ve been happy to speak at several WordCamps again, and I’ve connected with some amazing people. Although I’ve recently been dealing with an upcoming death with my stepmom’s terminal illness, I’ve had a lot of people, you all, give me a lot of support, including times when you’ve stepped in and helped. This is why I love doing what I do.
Because the voting period is only 16 days (ends on September 15th, 2014), I held off on posting here at Blondish.net as I really didn’t want to flood every place I was at all at once time. I find that gradually releasing the news helps. That, and since my newsletter does publish my most recent posts, there’d be another announcement.
