Keeping this post on the shorter side as I don’t think I need to draw it out. November and December each year, a lot of people take this time of the year to reflect back on their year and make plans for next year. That’s great but you should always reflect on what you’ve done and the goals you’ve made.
Some goals may need to be changed or removed. The people in your life… Well, you have to evaluate and remove anything toxic to what you’re trying to achieve or if they are negatively affecting your mental health. Make plans to surround yourself with people or colleagues support you. These people might not be buying from you, but at least if they understand and acknowledge what you’re doing, that’s is good support. Even better if they are recommending you to others!
It’s okay to be selfish sometimes. It can’t be always about others, especially if you’re like I was in the past… always helping or pleasing people at the sacrifice of happiness or achieving goals. It’s so easy to get in the mode of serving others because you choose to be a decent and kind person, but you should be taking care of yourself too.
As the comedian Katt Williams once said, “You got to please your star player.”
YOU are your star player.
So definitely reflect back on the year, but make a routine of doing that more often as a way to keep yourself on the goal path you want to achieve. When you make your plans, don’t forget to write them down. You can use that list as a checklist or to revise it as you work toward your goals. 😉
Good luck in the next year!
