Better late than never. I was nominated in the Expert category at the 2015 Small Business Influencer Awards, hosted by Small Business Trends. This is the 4th year that I’ve been nominated. Last year I was 2nd in the same category.
So, this award program has several categories, and allows companies and individuals to be nominated, who have made an impact with their peers and clients. Once you’re nominated, your short bio is published on it’s own page. To win, the award consists of a popularity vote and a vote from a panel of judges.
In the past, when it comes to the popularity vote, I encourage and ask my followers to leave a supportive comment or testimonial. I also ask them to share the news with others if they believe I’ve been influential in some way. I’ve always been amazed at the support from my email list, some of the active Facebook and Yahoo! groups I’m in, and my friends and family. For my friends and family, I use the Facebook event reminder and invite those who may have gotten buried in the abyss of the Facebook stream.
This year, I learned about my nomination about 10 days into the voting period, so I apologize for all the rushed shameless plugs and such. I don’t really ask for votes a lot, so it meants a lot when my readers help.
If you’re reading this, and want to help, you can go to:

Just click on the red ‘VOTE’ button. When you’ve voted, it will turn dark gray. In the case you may have extra time, please let a testimonial. Voting ends November 5, 2015. You can still leave testimonials if voting has closed, and also share the post as that is still just as important.
Thank you for the support! 🙂
