I’m happy to announce the rollout of the Phase 1 new design for Blondish.net. I’m pretty happy about it. There are some tweaks to go through, and also, I’ve got like 5 plugins to hopefully become PHP 7 compatible so I can upgrade the PHP on my server.
The theme was inspired by Wellness Pro, a Genesis child theme, and some of the photos (except for the keyboard) were taken by Kari Leigh Marucchi of Found Art Photography, and the WP Photo Project.
The theme itself was a bit plain, but I’ve got a philosophy that if a theme has a lot of great elements, you can always dress it up with graphics, patterns, and color to get it to pop. On top of the new theme design, I’ve got some updated colors to the brand, the new logo, and a new font for the headers. I’m using Overpass for my headers and logo font.
There are still content and design tweaks to be done, but I’m happy with what’s currently up. There’s always work in re-designing a website, even after applying a new theme.
Following the design, and content tweaks, I’ll be working on another short free ebook. After that, I’m planning to rollout a training program or two, and a bigger ebook. This has been plans that have been a long time in the making, so I’m really excited to get to this point with Blondish.net.
That being said, I’ve also started making videos. Like when I started blogging, my videos are being made with either my simple web cam or my phone. I may end up having a tip jar toward earning a new camera/ video camera and a couple other tools to amp up the quality of my videos. I’ve always been really lucky that you all have supported me. That’s why there’s so much free information available on Blondish.net.
