WordPress Video: How to Insert An Image to A Post or Page In WordPress

By Nile Flores 34 Comments

A lot of times my clients ask me on how to add media, like images to their WordPress posts or pages. It is not difficult, but sometimes a screencast helps things along.

I have conveniently put together this simple WordPress screencast on how to insert an image to a post or page in WordPress.

OMG! I really got two for the price of one when I requested this. Learning that CSS tip was like being in the bonus round! It's great to find a quick was to resize images without losing quality just by adding that line of code in the html editor. Thanks so much!

Thanks. As I said in the video, I really do not like the scale option. Not sure why it is in there and do not care anymore. One of those things in WordPress I will never use…lol.

Please feel free to ask more questions if there are tips I can do within 5 minutes. Some I cannot and would have to put a full text tutorial. Not a problem… ask those too. 🙂

    Nile,
Your amazing with the step by step video. I have been doing this for a long while. I was looking for a way to help my huge group understand how to. You made it simple and saved me many hours with Consults.

Your great and thanks for showing me the source and now I have been doing my own video “How To” all based on you helping me.

It is easier to show people how to do things. When we use just words lots of people never get it. The techniques are better being seen than written.

Nile, your on of our great coaches and I will be utilizing your skills forever. Thanks for being a person who cares about real usable information and then going the extra step in showing us all how to accomplish it.

Really, Nile your amazing and I want to tell you how much I appreciate your skills and heart warming support. Your go the extra mile and I am honored to call myself your friend.

    Hello Nile,
Thanks for this tutorial, I am wondernig if the choice of images has an influence on the visibility of our blog posts.
Where can we take the fotos from to increase our visiblity of the blog posts?

    Nile,

LOVE the little tip about deleting height=”398″ (or whatever value it had), that way when you modify the width=”200″ value, the image does NOT get distorted! Now, in theory, things get slowed down a tiny bit when loading into a browser when both height and width values of the images are not given. However, when you want to get things done really quickly, especially for a client, this trick is great.

    Thanks for another great video!

Thanks for the awesome tips, I have been reading for the last day or so how to change the size without making the video look ugly, but putting it into a video makes it so much clearer. Now I am off to make some changes to my site!
