I admire Google for coming out with their own browser. I really do. I went from being a Yahoo! Internet search gal, to Google search years ago. I even prefer Firefox over Internet Explorer. I honestly tried to like Google Chrome.
They said it was fast. It was kind of fast. They said it was great. It was kind of. BUT… I still use Firefox, and even Opera too. I just have no stomach for Google Chrome. The browser is not as fast, and in fact, the first time I launched it… I got the blue screen of death. That really sucked! I felt like I had some kind of computer sacrilegious experience happen.
So… I am sorry Google. As much as I see your ads on Hulu and other places, I have to decline. Please focus on your search engine and stop trying to become the next Yahoo! I was a Yahoo! girl once… so much that I cofounded 3 of the top ten largest Yahoo! Clubs ever before 2001. I just see no point. And sadly, Google Wave is just as low on the totem pole of my list of places to log into because I tried it – AND IT SUCKS!!!
I am not going to totally brush Google products off, but I will say – try harder to impress this hot geeky girl. 😉

Have you used Google Chrome? What do you think of it?

I tried Google Chrome a few weeks ago, but switched back to Firefox because I'm more used to it, and because Chrome offers XMarks, but not the password sync. Now that Firefox has been sluggish for me for DAYS, out of nowhere, I'm thinking about giving Chrome another try!

I may give Google Chrome another try, but not so soon. I am just not feeling it at all on a user-friendly level.

Google Chrome on Mac is a breath of fresh air. Loads really fast and the browsing experience is even better than the Safari browser of Mac.

Linux users myself… I have heard a lot of Mac users have really liked Google Chrome. I just have not found it is refreshing yet.

I use a ChromePlus branded version of the Open Source version of Chrome, and it feels light (not fast per say) but I noticed that it doesn't have the extensibility of Firefox, no matter how much it tries. The GUI is non-standard, which makes it feel uncomfortable to use. It seems to be geared toward Mac users than Windows ones.

I am not going to gush all about Firefox. It has its times. In fact, every browser does. I guess I mainly wrote the post as a result of getting sick of seeing the Google Chrome ads and after my experience. Being a techie, I love to try out new things. It is just disappointing to find it not up to what it says.
Then again, I also believe it depends on the user's computer schematics too.

I think it does have something to do with the computer specifications as well. My best friend tried to use Chrome and was highly disappointed with it, however I use it on my computer and love it. In fact, it is now my default browser as it loads much faster than FireFox does for me.

My Google Analytics tells me that IE is the fastest, at 7 seconds, followed by Chrome at 8 seconds, followed by FireFox at 14 seconds. lol. I use Chrome. Its just too modern.
