It’s a New Year and that means it’s time to get started on new podcast episodes. Last year I experimented with mini episodes and those did great. My longer podcasts did well, but it seems that mixing it up some allowed people to pick and choose what they had time to listen to.
To start off the New Year, I thought I’d go with a mini episode and choose a topic that seems to be hot right now with visitors- Podcast Hosting. I actually kept getting asked on what I recommend for podcast hosting. While I did a lot of replying, mostly copy and pasting over and over again, I think it was high time I created a podcast episode dedicated to the topic.
In fact, other than my presentation on Podcasting for WordPress, I can’t quite recall covering podcast hosting. I really didn’t want to get too nitty gritty with this podcast in going into what each service offered, and all the many services out there. I cut my list to 3 for your convenience.
Also, I covered why you may need a host for your podcast. 🙂 If you podcast, let me know what service you use in the comments below. Note: I like to offer it on Youtube as well for people who prefer video. I do this because in the near future, I actually will have video with me speaking. Right now, it’s just a cover photo.

I’m not really into podcasts. I don’t personally like listening to things (unless there’s also video of some type with it) so it’s not something I’m drawn to do. I started doing little mini audio clips because I know others prefer to listen, but I’m really not leaning toward doing podcasts. Good to know about hosting options if I do decide to in the future.
